What made you decide to list the ingredients
of Coral Frenzy?
Coral Frenzy was being compared to other coral foods on the market.
Rather than just tell you that Coral Frenzy was different, we decided
to show you the ingredients.
I read that most corals do not eat
phytoplankton.
While this is true, because most corals are carnivores, phytoplankton
is at the bottom of the food chain. Phytoplankton actually feeds
the micro fauna in your reef aquarium. The micro fauna then feeds
your corals. Coral Frenzy contains a unique formula of zooplankton
and phytoplankton to help satisfy the carnivorous appetites of the
reef aquarium inhabitants. No other coral food on the market provides
this diversity of supplements.
Why feed corals?
Corals have a symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae algae in
their tissue that they receive nutrition from, but most corals also
have a feeding apparatus for catching food like zooplankton, and
bacterial plankton. Many tanks are so well filtered and skimmed,
that there is not enough "food" in the water column for
corals to feed from. Supplementing with Coral Frenzy replenishes
these planktons.
Corals react with a feeding response when Coral Frenzy is put into
the reef aquarium, and can even be seen capturing food particles
and ingesting them. This extra energy can then be used for coral
growth and multiplying.
Do I need to refrigerate Coral Frenzy?
You do not have to refrigerate Coral Frenzy, but it will stay fresher
if you decide to.
What is the shelf life of Coral Frenzy?
If kept in a cool dry place, Coral Frenzy will easily stay fresh
for 12 months. It will not go off like live food cultures, which
spoil if left out of the refrigerator and can be dangerous to give
to corals past expiration dates.
How do I use Coral Frenzy?
For a 50 gal tank: Mix 1/4 tsp of Coral Frenzy vigorously with a
glass of aquarium water and pour into a high flow area or target
feed with a turkey baster or pippette. Feed Coral frenzy 2-3 times
a week, depending on your systems needs. When starting out, we recommend
that you use less. How many times have you heard a company tell
you to use less of their product?
How long will a bottle of Coral Frenzy
last?
Each bottle of Coral Frenzy will on average feed a 100 gallon reef
tank for approximately 2 to 3 ½ months depending on how often
you use it and stocking density.
